Burger Bundles casserole
If your family likes ground beef, they never had it so good! This Burger Bundles casserole features big meatballs stuffed with herb-seasoned stuffing mix, then baked in a mushroom soup sauce.
You’ll find that casseroles fit easily into your schedule. Some can be made up in the morning, refrigerated, and baked at the last minute.
If you’re planning far ahead, make casseroles that can be frozen. Freezer-to-ovenware lets you pop them into the oven direct from the freezer.
Burger Bundles casserole
Ingredients
- 1 cup herb-seasoned stuffing mix
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon catsup
Instructions
- Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions.
- Mix ground beef with evaporated milk.
- Divide into five patties.
- On waxed paper, flatten each patty to form a six-inch circle.
- Spoon 1/4 cup stuffing in center of each.
- Draw edges over stuffing and seal.
- Place in 1-1/2-quart casserole.
- Combine mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, and catsup.
- Heat till bubbly.
- Pour over meat.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350 (F) oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley.
Notes
To vary the flavor of this casserole, you might want to experiment with different flavored soups, such as cream of celery or golden mushroom.
Or to make this a one-dish meal, add a can of drained green beans. Serve with your favorite salad.
