Yes, you can green-bean-bake in a microwave

Here’s a great new way to make the good old green-bean-bake! Campbell’s Soup and Ripe Olives from California have teamed up to bring you this update on a classic recipe.

Classic Golden green bean bake recipe

Ingredients

1 (10-3/4 ounces) Campbell’s Condensed Golden Mushroom, Cream of Celery or Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Dash pepper
2 packages (9 ounces each) frozen cut green beans, cooked and drained
1/2 cup sliced olives
1 can (2.8 ounces) Durkee French-Fried onions

Microwave oven directions

I. In a 1-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper. Stir in green beans, half of the olives and half of the onions. Cover.

2. Microwave on HIGH 7 minutes until hot, stirring once during heating. Top with remaining olives and onions. Makes 6 servings.

To double recipe: Prepare in 2-quart casserole. Microwave 11 minutes.

Conventional oven directions

1. In 1-1/2 quart casserole, combine soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper. Stir in green beans, half of the olives and half of the onions.

2. Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes or until hot. Top with remaining olives and onions. Bake 5 minutes more.
