Tropic Sun Spareribs recipe for pineapple baked pork ribs (1986)
A little Dole pineapple makes it amazingly simple to bring a bright new flavor to anything you make — as you’ll see by trying these tasty spareribs.

Spicy pineapple baked pork ribs
Ingredients
- 3-1/2 to 4 pounds pork spareribs or country-style ribs
- 3 large cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, undrained
- 12 ounces chili sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
- Rub pork ribs with garlic.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Arrange onion in large baking pan.
- Place ribs on top.
- Add 1/4 cup water to pan.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
- Combine remaining ingredients. Spoon over ribs.
- Bake, uncovered, 1 hour longer.
