This delicious recipe for sweet, savory and spicy pineapple baked pork ribs gets lots of flavor from the unique but wonderful combination of chili sauce and pineapple.

Spicy pineapple baked pork ribs

Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 to 4 pounds pork spareribs or country-style ribs
  • 3 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 12 ounces chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Rub pork ribs with garlic.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange onion in large baking pan.
  4. Place ribs on top.
  5. Add 1/4 cup water to pan.
  6. Cover with foil.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
  8. Combine remaining ingredients. Spoon over ribs.
  9. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour longer.
