The cheese-stuffed burger

Next time your family’s hungry for cheeseburgers, try this. Make thin patties and sandwich the cheese between them, so it melts into the meat. Good!

Tender onions go beautifully on top — and Hunt’s tomato catsup. It’s the catsup with the old-fashioned kettle-simmered flavor, made as only Hunt’s knows how.

Cheese-stuffed burger recipe

Ground beef (chick, coarsely-ground is best)
Salt and pepper
American cheese
Onion, sliced
Hamburger bun
Hunt’s tomato catsup

Salt and pepper beef and shape into thin patties. Top 1 patty with slice of cheese. Add second patty and pinch edges to seal. Pan fry with onions in lightly oiled skillet. Serve on bun with lettus and a bright helping of catsup.

[These cheeseburgers are also sometimes known as Juicy Lucy or Jucy Lucy.]
