Space expanded in a small room when compact furniture was paired with visually expansive wall art — all created to decorate this space age small apartment back in 1970!
Here, freestanding units — compact as an astronaut’s capsule — systemized surprising complete living facilities in this space age small apartment.
A drop-down door offered a little dining table which, could also be used for a desk, bar, buffet, or sewing center.
Other units stored the TV, a sound system, dinnerware, books, and clothing — while one unit even had a bed.
The white shelving and cabinet storage system could be placed along a wall to allow free traffic flow in the center space, or it could be positioned to create several separate living and working areas when used as dividers within a single open space.
Essential for this look was the retro red swiveling accent chair and matching footrest — both with mod stainless steel bases.
There was also modern art news in the explosive pattern of the bold red graphic on the fabric room divider. Its free-flowing colors swept across the walls and the ceiling.
