Drenched in rich jewel tones of red and purple, this little eating area with a table for two was fabulously retro.
The colorful 1960s dining room for two took its color scheme from the brilliant shades in the wavy striped area rug. As the blue-purple progressed toward red, the colors become more lively.
The intricately-patterned wicker/rattan peacock chairs were red (with royal purple cushions), the table draped in a violet cloth, the thick pleated window blinds appeared in hues of pink and red — and even the ceiling fan was painted pink.
Even the wood trim between the windows and walls, along with the exposed beams that formed a five-pointed star from the center of the ceiling, were in on the act, while also helping to visually break up the ultra-vibrant color.
