Campbell’s chicken crunch (1964)

New — chicken crunch! Soup ‘n stuffing make chicken a new taste treat.

Just dip chicken parts in soup mixture, roll in crushed seasoned stuffing, drizzle with melted butter and bake!

Chicken crunch

Yield: 6 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Additional Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken pieces
  • 1/3 cup Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 1 cup seasoned stuffing
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Mix soup, milk, onion, and parsley.
  2. Dip chicken in soup mixture; then roll in stuffing.
  3. Place in shallow baking dish (12x8x2-inch).
  4. Drizzle butter on chicken.
  5. Bake at 400 (F) for 1 hour.
  6. Meanwhile, combine remaining soup and milk: heat; stir now and then.
  7. Serve over chicken.

Notes

To omit herb-seasoned stuffing, substitute with 1 cup fine dry bread crumbs, 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
