Light-reflecting textures of white brick walls and terrazzo floor picked up the green tints of foliage through the window wall that dominated this airy and bright 50s living room.

The whole room scheme was subdued in coloring to play up the impressive natural mural outside.

The furniture, a mixture of Louis XV, Venetian and contemporary, was unified by upholstery in white, beige and pale greens that blended with the simple neutral background.

Even the metal window sash and posts were painted olive green so as not to intrude upon the view.

The cool, aqueous effect achieved here is a fresh solution for any home where heat and humidity are a problem.
