Karo Fireside baked beans recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup Karo All Purpose Syrup (corn syrup)
2 one-pound cans pork ‘n beans
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 lb Canadian bacon, sliced

Directions

Mix Karo Syrup, beans, onion and ginger in a 2-quart oven-proof casserole. Arrange slices of Canadian bacon on top. Bake in 400F (hot) oven about 1 hour, basting bacon 3 or 4 times to glaze.

Karo adds delicious new flavor and appetizing new texture to food. Karo gives meats and vegetables an appetite-appealing glaze, blends beautifully in sauces and desserts, and makes even everyday dishes taste delightfully different. When the recipe in your cookbook calls for dark corn syrup or light corn syrup… always use Karo!
