These shortbread-like cream cookies are super fun and festive when dipped into melted chocolate, and then rolled in edible decorations!

Chocolate-dipped cream cookies recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar for rolling
1 cup chocolate bits, melted
Chopped nuts, coconut, chocolate jimmies

Directions

Cream butter; add sugar gradually; add vanilla. Sift flour, cornstarch and salt together; blend into creamed mixture; chill. Shape teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, triangles, crescents or bars. Place on greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees about 12 minutes. Cool; roll in powdered sugar. Dip part of each cookie in chocolate then in nuts, coconut or jimmies.

Makes about 6 dozen cookies
