Marie Antoinette dress

For a little girl from six to eight years old

by Emily H May

This little dress is to be made of silk or cashmere, and trimmed with bias ruffles of the same material, headed with a bais band of satin of the same color, one inch and a half in width. It is ornamented with velvet buttons, at regular intervals, as seen in the design. In order to make the trimming more easy, we give two engravings of the detail; one represents the bias ruffles, the other the trimming around the tabs, and both patterns are full size.

Wc also give diagrams by which to cut out the dress. The best way is to make paper patterns for each piece (old newspapers will answer) by enlarging the diagrams, and for this purpose the size of each piece is marked on each diagram.
