In this 1920s bedroom was gathered the most elegant of Hepplewhite fine antique furniture, richly inlaid with satinwood.
The high-post bedstead, carved and fluted, was draped with a white and red antique toile de Jouy fabric, “l’hommage de l’Amerique d la France.”
The windows were similarly draped with a (then) modern fabric, falling from mahogany cornices that matched that of the bed.
On the walls was a figured wallpaper in gray, which matched with the dark woodwork.
