Gold'n Nut Crunch snack mix

Yield: 6-1/2 cups of snack mix
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts or dry roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 4 cups Golden Grahams cereal

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Mix nuts and butter in medium bowl until well-coated.
  3. Add cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and celery salt; toss until well coated.
  4. Spread in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 x 10 1/2 x 2 inches.
  5. Bake, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in cereal; cool. Serve.
  7. Store in airtight container.

  1. My grandma made this every Christmas during the ’80s, and we loved it! Such an odd combination of ingredients. I mean Parmesan cheese and sweet cereal? I don’t know how it was good, but it was!
