Retro-styled decorative glassware sets bring fun & funky back to drinking glasses
Some of our favorite glassware sets back then came in different colors and shapes, some were textured, and many had painted designs of anything and everything — from cartoon characters to sports team mascots, or golden sailing ships to old-fashioned floral patterns.

Decorative retro glassware sets went out of fashion for a while for many reasons. Apart from ever-changing trends, some of the old drinking glasses designs were eventually found to contain dangerous levels of lead — something nobody wants to touch, let alone use for food or drink.
Now, much higher safety standards are required, and several brands have come out with beautiful modern-day glassware in the kind of styles we missed.
Below, we found a lot of fantastic vintage-style — but brand-new — glassware sets that you can get now! (Note that these are all made of glass — none are plastic.)
The glass sizes vary, from the little 7-ounce juice glasses to 16-ounce coolers, but all have that measure of retro excitement that may be missing from your kitchen.
