Marvelously spacious, light and airy, this huge living room/dining room, 15 feet high, was created from a dark, closed-in garage.

When the former garage was remodeled back in 1960, the tall brick fireplace was new, as were the glass walls flanking it.

The full-height windows offered refreshing views of the adjacent greenhouse, where camellias, oleanders, figs, lemon and orange trees flourished under a skylight set into the original roof.

During the conversion, the garage roof trusses were retained and painted black, and the terrazzo floor was added to this beautiful, fresh & airy living room.
