Stark white walls and the tangy snap of lime green were remarkably cool and serene in this light-struck living room in Miami Beach, Florida.
In this 1970s home, straight slices of green outlined the stairs, railing, tables, and a white trellis etagere against the side wall.
The steps were carpeted with a grass green color, but the main living room rested on top of a fringed white area rug.
That white was the perfect choice to help the swirly raised patterns on the damask sofas stand out. (The same fabric could also be found on the curtains.)

A hint of the sun outside was echoed in the Siamese orange and gold plaid silk on the sofa pillows on display in this retro living room in Miami, and could also be found zesting up a low-slung chair.
A few pieces of wood furniture were positioned along the walls. To bring everything full circle, live green plants were placed around the room.
