Sesame-herb chicken

  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter
  • 2/3 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons each dried thyme leaves, ground sage and parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 pounds broiler-fryer chicken, cut up


  1. Heat oven to 425 (F).
  2. Heat margarine in oblong pan, 13" by 9" by 2-inches, in oven until melted.
  3. Mix baking mix and seasonings; coat chicken.
  4. Place chicken, skin sides down, in pan.
  5. Bake uncovered 35 minutes.
  6. Turn; bake until done, about 15 minutes longer.


High Altitude Directions (3500 to 6500 feet): Bake uncovered 40 minutes. Turn; bake until done, about 20 minutes longer.
