Here’s the baseball card portrait of Charles Comiskey (aka Charlie Comiskey), when he was the first baseman for the St. Louis Browns, as seen on a card issued with packages of cigarettes in the late 1880s. Comiskey went on to own the Chicago White Sox, and also built Comiskey Park, which opened in 1910.
