McCall’s Certified House

$27,490 in Virginia*

The traditional style and low-keyed exterior color make this warm, friendly house look as though it had a long acquaintance with the pine grove in which it stands.

It is as nearly a custom-built house as a builder can produce. There is a wide choice of interior colors, bathroom tiles, and wall coverings. A finished recreation room in the full basement is optional. The exterior color scheme was developed for the community by a nationally known color stylist.

The price includes an eye-level oven and surface burners, either provincial or V-groove kitchen cabinets in white or spicewood, an exhaust hood, double-door refrigerator, stainless-steel sink, waste disposer, and dishwasher. The paneled study has a wall of built-in shelves and cupboards, useful as a TV center.

Other details that give this house value: aluminum down spouts and gutters, screens and Venetian blinds provided for standard windows, glass-lined gas water heater, 125,000-BTU gas-fired hot-air furnace, all copper plumbing, 150-ampere electric service, and prewired, concealed telephone installation.

This house is available only in Sleepy Hollow Woods, Fairfax County, Virginia.
