Chevrolet and Ford traditionally vie for top spot in the auto industry’s annual sales derby, and last week, they trotted out two of their high-powered entries for 1968:
The Chevrolet Caprice (top) features a new and heavier grill.
The Ford LTD two-door hardtop, like the entire Ford line this year, sports a longer, lower profile than the 1967 model.
Both cars will go on display this week, but Chevrolet will enjoy a head start in the sales race. Ford has less than a month’s supply, and no more Fords will be built until the end of the current strike.
