Wesson jiffy barbecue sauce
1/2 cup Wesson Oil
3/4 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup tomato ketchup
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cook onion till soft in hot Wesson Oil. Add other ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Enough sauce to baste and serve with 2 chickens. Also good with hamburgers, hot dogs, and other favorites.
Jiffy barbecue sauce for cooking chicken outdoors
Brush sauce on halves of broiler chickens before and during broiling. Broil 30 to 45 minutes — 12 to 14 inches from coals. Start with inside of chicken down facing coals and turn to finish with skin side down. Serve with remaining sauce.

Brush sauce on chicken as above and broil 30 to 45 minutes, 5 to 7 inches from heat. Start with skin side down on rack and turn to finish with skin side up.

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup Wesson Oil
