Warren Gamaliel Harding (November 2, 1865 – August 2, 1923) was the 29th President of the United States — in office from 1921 until his death at age 57 in 1923.

Before Harding surrendered

This photograph, taken by an NEA photographer at Seattle, shows the president landing from the Transport Henderson after his trip to Alaska. At this time, he was suffering from ptomaine
poisoning, but was valiantly striving to keep up with his itinerary.

Palace Hotel where President died

Two views of Palace hold in San Francisco. where President Harding died. Exterior view shows Market street at Lotta Fountain, with the hotel at the right. Interior view is of court in hotel, which is said to rival old world courts in elaborateness.
