Kraft Swiss makes a Monte Cristo the Count would be proud of.

Here’s a sandwich that’s easy to make, but so darn elegant, you’ll probably want to serve it to company and family alike.

The Monte Cristo Sandwich recipe

3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
12 slices sandwich bread
Kraft Natural Swiss Cheese Slices, cut in half
6 boiled ham slices
Parkay Margarine
Confectioners sugar
Kraft Pure Red Currant jelly

Heat oven to 425 F. Combine eggs and milk. For each sandwich, cover slice of bread with slice of cheese, ham and second slice of cheese. Top with second slice of bread. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture; brown on both sides in margarine. Bake at 425 F for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar. Serve with jelly. Make 6 sandwiches.

It’s a beauty! And much of the glory goes to our exquisite tasting natural Swiss Cheese. It was aged just right, and packaged at its flavor peak. That’s how we make all of our fine natural cheeses: Swiss, Brick, Muenster, Mozarella, and Monterey Jack.
